MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: LG LDNPH753S
LG LDNPH753S: exact stainless model, Auto Open Dry behavior and twelve verified display faults.
Exact stainless identity and installation
LG's LDNPH753S is the PrintProof stainless version of its 24-inch FlushFit top-control dishwasher. The official specification names that full suffix alongside the separate black stainless LDNPH753D; the linked owner booklet covers the LDNPH753* family. Together, those sources explain why the family instructions apply to the stainless machine without assigning the other finish to it. The sheet gives a 23 3/4-inch product width, 33 5/8-inch height, 23 3/4-inch depth and a 24-inch-wide installation opening. Its installation notes limit the distance to the sink to 12 feet for proper drainage and require room for the door to swing. These measurements are useful when a new installation produces an OE drain alert: check the planned hose route and disposal connection before assuming an internal pump failure.
Racks and capacity in use
The capacity claim is sixteen place settings, but the racks determine what can actually fit in a mixed load. LDNPH753S has an adjustable third rack for flatware and small pieces; LG's exact sheet also lists a three-position height adjustment for the upper rack. The owner instructions say to empty that upper rack before moving it, then check that both sides lock at the same height. If one side sits lower, the door may fail to close and the upper spray arm may miss its water inlet. The manual also asks users to check that the spray arms turn freely after a rack change. Thus a difficult-to-close door after rearranging a tall pot deserves a rack-position check, not an immediate interpretation as a control-board fault. LG states dish-height limits of 7.1 inches above and 12.5 inches below; these are specification figures, not a promise that every unusually shaped item fits.
Top controls and floor light
This model's controls hide along the top edge of the door until POWER illuminates the keys. A digital display shows an estimated cycle duration, then remaining time; Delay Start changes the display to hours. START can be pressed before closing the door, but the door must then close within four seconds. On the floor-facing status indicator, a pulsing white light means a cycle is running, steady white means it has finished, and flashing red marks an error. Opening the door switches the light off. The panel also has a low-rinse-aid LED and a Tub Clean reminder that flashes every thirty cycles. Those indicators call for normal attention rather than a repair. CL is Control Lock; the manual explicitly places it among non-error messages and gives Dry Boost plus Delay Start for three seconds as the control combination.
Cycles and the opening door
The product's 1 Hour program is for lightly soiled dishes and includes heated drying. Dry Boost can add heated drying time, so its use changes what the one-hour label means in practice. Normal is the daily full-load program, while Heavy uses the strongest spray for hardened soil. Auto Open Dry can open the door during the drying stage before the displayed cycle is complete; LG says to wait until End appears before unloading. The door should have a clear path, and hot air or steam may be released when it opens. This matters when assessing a door that opens near the end: it can be planned drying behavior. The exact specification also lists Dynamic Heat Dry, TrueSteam, a tub light and 42 dBA operation. A damp plastic item with no error display should first be considered against the chosen cycle, rinse aid and Dry Boost setting.
Real error messages
The error table occupies owner pages 53 and 54 and must be read with the displayed characters intact. IE is an inlet-water problem; the manual points to the water supply and a clogged, kinked or frozen inlet hose. OE means drainage and includes the drain hose, filters, air gap and disposal among checks. bE covers excess suds from unsuitable detergent and can also result from poor leveling. AE is different: it reports water leakage, and LG directs the owner to shut off the dishwasher water supply and contact its support center. FE denotes excessive supplied water, HE a heater-circuit failure and tE a water-temperature-sensor error. The heated-air side has F35 for its temperature sensor, F31 for its drying fan motor and F37 for the automatic door-opening motor. LE concerns the wash motor and nE the Vario motor. LG sends these internal faults to service rather than presenting them as user repairs.
Normal modes and accessible checks
Some strings on this same display identify settings or downloaded programs. P1 is the default Tub Clean download; other P numbers label available downloaded cycles, and the manual says they are not error codes. L0 through L4 describe rinse-aid dosage, while numeric test-mode strings are also excluded from the fault list. Only one downloaded cycle is stored at a time, so a changed P label may reflect a new ThinQ choice. For an OE or weak-wash complaint, the accessible filters and external air gap are more useful first checks than guessing from a generic code chart. LG recommends cleaning filter debris and inspecting spray-arm holes; it also states that Wi-Fi setup uses a 2.4 GHz network. Record the exact LDNPH753S suffix, photo of the display, cycle, and when the symptom arose before contacting support.
