LDT7808BD is a black-stainless top-control dishwasher with 15 place settings, TrueSteam and an interior light for the wash compartment. The light helps a user see inside the appliance; it is not itself a diagnostic indicator in the error list. When a cycle stops, the relevant evidence is a displayed code such as LE, NE, IE or OE. Those strings separate motor, water-inlet and drain conditions that can otherwise look alike from outside the closed door.

How to read the documented signals

For LDT7808BD, LE names a wash-motor fault and NE names a vario-motor fault. LG's first instruction for each is to arrange service. If a cycle stops, photograph the exact letters and describe what the appliance did before the alert appeared. That observation helps support understand the event, while the displayed code determines which manual entry applies. The interior light and TrueSteam are separate features, and smooth rack movement does not establish which motor reported a fault.

When LDT7808BD shows IE, the dishwasher is short of incoming water. LG's starting check is the water supply and any kink, blockage or freezing in the inlet hose. OE refers to drainage, with the drain hose as the first place to look. Both may leave dishes unfinished, but moving the black-stainless unit to inspect a hose should follow the actual indication. A visible pool of water alone does not distinguish a drain problem from the manual's separate AE leak message.

Another entry, bE, is explained this way: The dishwasher detected too many suds or is not level. The associated first action is to use only automatic-dishwasher detergent. AE has a separate explanation: The dishwasher detected a water leak. For that indication LG starts with an instruction to turn off its water supply and arrange service. The signals concern separate conditions, even though both can interrupt an ordinary cycle.

The LG manual also explains P2: A downloaded wash cycle is selected; this is a status display. It first instructs the owner to select another cycle if desired. For HE, the manual says the heater circuit reported a fault; it first instructs the owner to arrange service. One of these is a status or maintenance state, so their similar-looking labels do not make both faults. The full display string or light pattern remains the most useful detail to record.
