MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: Samsung DW80K7050US/AC
Samsung DW80K7050US/AC: rotary StormWash settings, normal display states and six real information codes.
Confirm the rotary K7050 and its readout
DW80K7050US/AC is the stainless Canadian StormWash machine named on Samsung's exact business and support pages. The support listing embeds user-manual file 6615853. Its cover names both DW80K7050 and DW80K5050, while pages 7 and 8 draw the panel shared by those two series and say its display can show error messages with a warning sound. The separate K7050 cycle chart on page 25 is useful confirmation that this copy is not merely a similarly named product guide. The official specification calls the wash type rotary, gives a 44 dBA noise rating and fifteen place settings, and describes a dedicated third cutlery rack. Those details distinguish it from Samsung's later moving-bar WaterWall layout. If a message appears, photograph the whole illuminated control before switching power off. Record the exact two-character text; a remembered chime or a door that opened near completion gives less precise evidence than the displayed characters.
Use the racks and cycles as this model describes
StormWash is an option for dirty pans and durable serving pieces. The manual directs owners to place them face down within the marked area of the lower basket, and it excludes StormWash from Delicate and Rinse Only. Lower Rack is a different selection: with it active, dishes placed above do not get washed, so a dirty upper glass is expected rather than evidence that the spray system failed. Auto detects soil, Normal covers ordinary dinner dishes, Heavy is for heavier deposits, Delicate suits fragile loads, Express 60 is for lightly soiled items, and Rinse Only holds dishes without detergent. The exact K7050 chart lists the steps, water ranges and approximate times separately from K5050. Its adjustable upper rack makes room for larger plates below; change height before loading to avoid damaging dishes. The third rack is intended for flatware and utensils, provided they do not interfere with its nozzle. The manual specifically identifies Normal together with Sanitize as its certified pairing.
Recognize ordinary delay and door states
Several display combinations are settings, not faults. In Settings Mode, U0 or U1 changes sound, B0 or B1 the indicator light, and A0 or A1 AutoRelease drying. The door can open by itself five to fifteen minutes before a cycle ends and cannot be closed manually for the next two minutes; this is documented drying behavior. A delay may be programmed in one-hour steps up to twenty-four hours, so the number on the panel may mark a scheduled start instead of a service condition. Control Lock is toggled by holding Sanitize for three seconds while power is on; it can explain buttons that seem unresponsive. A paused run also needs Start pressed again and the door closed firmly within three seconds. Using regular hand-washing liquid can create excess foam, and poor loading can obstruct the wash path. Check selections and the actual water supply before treating all beeps, numbers or incomplete results as a failed component.
Respond to the six listed information codes
Page 30 identifies six true information-code rows for the displayed K7050/K5050 control. OC means an over-level water check; Samsung instructs closing the supply valve, switching off the dishwasher breaker and contacting authorized service. LC is a leakage check, with particular instructions when a supply-valve connection leaks: close water and power and contact the installer, then service if the problem continues. 4C asks about the supply; a closed valve, interruption, frozen line or foreign-particle blockage can be checked before calling. 5C points to drainage, including a folded or blocked hose and the sump drain opening, after shutting off water as directed. HC concerns unusually high temperature at the hot-water line; the machine regulates toward the stated range, with service advised if the display persists. 3C is the pump-operation check: turn the machine off and try to start it again, then contact Samsung service if it returns. A code names a check, not proof that one specific part must be replaced.
