MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: Samsung DW80R9950US/AC
Samsung DW80R9950US/AC Linear Wash guide to AquaBlast, ZoneBooster, AP status and genuine error codes.
Identify the Canadian Linear Wash model
The exact Samsung Business Canada listing identifies DW80R9950US/AC as a 24-inch undercounter Linear Wash dishwasher for fifteen place settings. It specifies 39 dBA, AquaBlast washing, ZoneBooster, an automatic door-opening drying system, embedded Wi-Fi and 3.2 gallons per cycle. The support link leads to an English/French user manual whose cover names the DW80R9950 series. Its page 30 draws the series' touch panel with a digital time display and a Zone Booster selector; page 12 labels the water reflector as a separate component. This is not the rotary StormWash arrangement of another DW80B product. If an owner searches by the shared DW80 prefix alone, they may miss the moving reflector and misread the cycle controls. Confirm the complete /AC suffix and the illustrated panel before following the manual's fault table. The noise and water figures are specifications for this exact listed variant, not measurements from a particular installation.
Keep the moving reflector and rack zones clear
AquaBlast sends water across the tub using a reflector, so loading should preserve the reflector's path. The manual explains that an obstacle near it can make the display blink and the machine chime for several minutes; remove the obstacle rather than immediately assuming a sensor has failed. Zone Booster focuses intensive washing on the left side of the lower rack and, unlike the Lower Rack selection, does not stop the upper nozzle. Put demanding pots in that left zone while maintaining space for the reflector and spray action. Speed Booster is a separate choice to shorten a wash. The Flex Deck on the third rack moves between high and low positions to fit utensils of different sizes; adjust the upper rack height before loading to avoid damaging dishes. Samsung's detergent table increases the main and prewash doses for Heavy and Express 60 compared with Auto and Normal. A disappointing result should be described with the actual zone, rack height and dose, not just the program name.
Choose a cycle and understand its drying behavior
The seven programs include Rinse Only, which is for dishes awaiting a later wash and calls for no detergent, and Self Clean, which must be run with an empty tub. Only Heavy combined with Sanitize receives the manual's NSF 184 statement on soil removal and sanitization efficacy; selecting Sanitize with some other cycle should not be described as that exact certified combination. AutoRelease normally opens the door five to fifteen minutes before the end to help drying. Settings distinguish A1/A0 for this function, J1/J0 for its opening alert and U1/U0 for sound. After AutoRelease has moved the door, it may resist manual closing for two minutes. That short period is expressly normal. The filter needs monthly cleaning, especially if food debris has accumulated near the reflector and spray path. A timed door opening or maintenance reminder is useful operating context, but neither is the same as a water-leak diagnostic.
Separate pairing and Lock from faults
The digital display also has messages that are not breakdown codes. In the linked manual, AP means connect with a smartphone: it appears while Smart Control and the phone's Wi-Fi settings are used for pairing. The product lists embedded Wi-Fi and the manual specifies 2.4 GHz for SmartThings. Check that connection separately from wash performance. Control Lock is another ordinary state; it excludes POWER from its button lock and stays enabled after a restart, so a power key that responds while programs do not is not by itself evidence of a failed panel. By contrast, a real operating problem is accompanied by an information code and warning sound. Write down the displayed characters before resetting. If the water reflector was obstructed, include its blink-and-chime behavior, but do not label AP or a Lock indicator as an appliance error merely because the display changed.
Handle leak, inlet and drain codes separately
The first three diagnostic entries concern different parts of the water path. LC requires a leakage check. For a leaking supply-valve connection, Samsung instructs the owner to close the valve, turn off the dishwasher circuit breaker and contact the installer; an LC that continues belongs with authorized service. Code 4C asks for a supply check: verify the valve is open and that the inlet line is not frozen or clogged, then close the valve and contact service if the warning persists. Code 5C instead points to the drain. After closing the supply, examine the hose for folds or blockage and the sump outlet for obstruction. A persistent 5C needs service too. These codes should not be collapsed into a claim that the same part has failed. Record whether the machine was filling or draining, and follow the manual's shutoff route when water is escaping.
Escalate heating, pump and zone-wash codes
HC is a high-temperature heating check, for which the manual permits an empty-dishwasher functional cycle with detergent. If HC recurs, turn off its breaker and contact authorized service. The 3C row concerns pump operation; the PC row concerns the zone-wash function, relevant to this model's left-side Zone Booster arrangement. For 3C or PC, Samsung suggests turning off the machine and trying to start it again, with service if the code remains. The wording does not prove that a heater, pump or reflector must be replaced. Keep the exact code alongside the chosen options, since a zone-wash warning has a different diagnostic lead from an inlet warning. If a message is not in the published table, Samsung directs owners to its support line. Avoid dismantling electrical or water connections to guess at an internal cause.
