MODEL OVERVIEW
About this model: Samsung WF46BB6700AVUS
The Canadian French support entry names WF46BB6700AVUS and describes a Bespoke front-load washer with Super Speed Wash and an intelligent dial.
Identify the precise washer before reading a shared manual
The Canadian French support entry names WF46BB6700AVUS and describes a Bespoke front-load washer with Super Speed Wash and an intelligent dial. Its heading gives a 5.3-cubic-foot capacity. Samsung's linked owner booklet covers two model families, however: WF46BB67**A* and the larger WF53BB87**A*. In that booklet the WF46 specification column says 4.6 cubic feet, while the adjacent WF53 column says 5.3. Keep the support-page and manual figures attached to their sources; the booklet offers no conversion between them. The same split affects physical fit. The WF46 has a 31.3-inch depth with its door shut and needs 53.9 inches with the door open. A dimension taken from the WF53 column would overstate the space needed behind an open WF46 door. The complete suffix on the appliance label is useful when ordering a part or discussing service because the manual's shared cover alone cannot identify the finish or every installed option.
Prepare the location and the load for a meaningful test
Page 20 calls for a solid floor and warns against a weak platform; poor support can make spin vibration look like a mechanical defect. Samsung recommends an 18-inch-high standpipe and says the drain hose should be secured with its clip. The washer retains water in valves, pump and hoses, so a location that can freeze is unsuitable. Before a test cycle, check that the cold and hot supply connections match their taps. A later Check water lines message specifically points to the cold hose. Avoid using a single heavy item as a diagnostic load: the troubleshooting section says a bathrobe or jeans alone may not spin satisfactorily. For bedding, the manual suggests no more than seven pounds and a moderate spin setting. Small items can be put in a fine laundry net, but the net should not be washed alone. These details help distinguish setup or load effects from a fault code.
Use the controls to collect evidence, not to erase it
The LCD shows the chosen cycle as the navigation dial turns. Options can add an extra rinse or a 30-minute pre-soak; Super Speed as an option is limited to listed cycles. If an option is unavailable, the display says Currently not supported and leaves OK inactive. This is expected behaviour, not a broken button. Child Lock similarly disables most buttons and keeps the door locked until turned off. Smart Control must be enabled and paired through SmartThings before remote operation is possible; a Wi-Fi symbol only confirms a router link. The Settings menu provides Calibration and Self Diagnosis. Calibration turns the drum for about three minutes with the door closed, while Self Diagnosis displays a code and suggested solution when it finds an abnormal sign. Record the original display text before running a reset or repeated tests. Page 44 confines Drum Light to WF53 models; a WF46 without that menu is following the documented variant boundary.
Separate written messages from literal fault codes
The English diagnostic table occupies physical pages 64 and 65 of the linked PDF. The first page uses full LCD phrases: Check drainage, Check water supply, Check water lines, Unbalanced laundry detected and Door is open. Each points to a different first check. Drainage calls for inspecting the hose route and filter. Supply calls for open taps, adequate pressure and the inlet mesh filter. The water-lines phrase focuses on whether the cold hose is on the cold tap. An imbalance calls for redistributing the load and checking level. The next page lists short codes: OC for overflow, LC and LC1 for drain-hose checks, 3C for drum-motor operation, HC for high-temperature heating, 1C for the level sensor, AC and AC6 for different electronic communication paths, and DC1 for the main door lock. HC can apply here because the WF46 specification lists a 900-watt heater. Copy a code exactly; an LC1 observation should not be shortened to LC in a service report.
Follow the table's remedy and know when to stop
For OC, Samsung says to restart after spinning and contact a local service centre if the code remains. For LC or LC1, inspect the end and blockage of the drain hose, then seek service if the message persists. The 3C row permits trying the cycle again; 1C, AC and DC1 instruct turning the machine off and restarting. These are limited checks, not instructions to open the cabinet or replace an electronic board. If Check water supply appears, the table says buttons can remain disabled while the machine drains for three minutes; wait for that sequence before judging the panel. A locked door can also require up to three minutes after a stop, and it may stay locked while water remains in the drum. Note the cycle, load, displayed text and result of one permitted retry. Persistent codes belong with Samsung service, along with the full WF46BB6700AVUS identifier and the source page used for the check.
